Anne Philippi

After 15 years in high-profile journalism covering Hollywood and tech for GQ, VOGUE, and VANITY FAIR, Anne Philippi had a transformative experience with psychedelics. In 2020, she founded "The New Health Club Podcast," the first lifestyle-inspired psychedelic podcast, supported by leaders like Dr. Bronner’s and Christian Angermayer. The show connected her with top experts and expanded her network and became the first lifestyle podcast in in the psychedelic field. She speaks at conferences such as Horizons and Psychedelic Science, advocating for de-stigmatizing psychedelic medicine. In 2025, she launched The New Health Institute, a US-based nonprofit dedicated to redefining cultural narratives around psychedelics and increasing visibility and access amid social stigma and shadow bans. She remains deeply involved in the global psychedelic ecosystem and creating content beyond the industry.

Board Members

Chris Timmermann

Dr. Christopher Timmermann is a neuroscientist and psychologist specializing in the study of the mind through non-ordinary states of consciousness. He earned his PhD in Neuropsychopharmacology before leading the DMT Research Group at Imperial College, where he conducted pioneering brain imaging investigations of short-acting psychedelics. His research focuses on the neuroscience, psychiatry, psychology, and beliefs associated with meditation and psychedelics, aiming to advance understanding in consciousness and mental health. His work has been published in high-impact journals and widely covered by mainstream media outlets including The New York Times, BBC, The Guardian, and Wired. Additionally, he is the co-founder and President of the ECOH Foundation, a research and educational non-profit based in Latin America.

Leonard Pickard

William Leonard Pickard is a former research associate in neurobiology at Harvard Medical School, Harvard fellow in drug policy at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and Deputy Director of the Drug Policy Analysis Program at UCLA. His 1996 prediction of the fentanyl epidemic was published by RAND in The Future of Fentanyl and Other Synthetic Opioids.A highly influential figure in the realm of scientific research, Leonard Pickard is recognized for his pioneering work in chemistry and psychedelic research. His efforts have advanced understanding of neurochemistry and contributed to the resurgence of interest in the therapeutic and spiritual potentials of psychedelics.

Simeon Schnapper

Simeon Schnapper has been involved in psychedelic philanthropy and research for more than 30 years. He’s a life-long student of psychedelics and has a keen interest in the cultural, regulatory, and nascent venture landscape of the mushrooming industry. Furthermore, he advises several psychedelic start-ups, is a founding partner at JLS (an early-stage plant medicine venture fund), and a member of NYMS (New York Mycology Society). Schnapper is a distinguished expert in the fields of philosophy and cultural studies. His work explores the intersections of human consciousness, art, and society, inspiring innovative dialogues on the human condition and the transformative power of intellectual inquiry.

Rick Doblin

Rick Doblin, Ph.D., is the visionary Founder and President of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), a pioneering organization dedicated to transforming the understanding and use of psychedelics and marijuana. With a Ph.D. in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, his groundbreaking research included the regulation of psychedelic medicines and a survey on oncologists' preferences for cannabis-based nausea treatments. An esteemed scholar, his undergraduate thesis extended the transformative Good Friday Experiment by 25 years, and he conducted a 34-year follow-up to Timothy Leary’s famed Concord Prison Experiment. Studying under Dr. Stanislav Grof, he became one of the first certified Holotropic Breathwork practitioners. His lifelong mission is to establish rigorous legal frameworks that enable the therapeutic and personal growth applications of psychedelics and cannabis. Since founding MAPS in 1986, he has been at the forefront of advancing science, policy, and education in this field. Rick resides in Boston with his family and continues to lead the charge in humanizing and legitimizing psychedelic-assisted therapies.

Gigi Danziger is an American entrepreneur and investor. Albert Wenger

Albert Wenger is a partner at Union Square Ventures (USV). Before joining USV, Albert was the president of del.icio.us through the company’s sale to Yahoo and an angel investor (Etsy, Tumblr). Albert is the author of the book The World After Capital. On his blog Continuations he writes about technology, science, philosophy and more. Albert graduated from Harvard College in economics and computer science and holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology from MIT.
